Safari tent camp with en-suite facilities
Our expedition camp, which blends harmoniously into its surroundings on the seasonal banks of the Mzaise River, accommodates six guests in three beautiful expedition tents with en-suite facilities during 1st of April till end of October. Each expedition tent is equipped with double beds which are more basic due to the concept and a small private veranda with a shaded seating area. The open plan en-suite bathroom has a bucket shower and flush toilet. You’ll enjoy your meals in our big open-sided dining tent, then gather around the campfire beneath a starry sky.
Caring for nature is in our hearts. That’s why we built Sango Expedition Camp on our love and deep connection to Zimbabwe. Part of reducing our impact on the environment and wildlife is using solar panels to power Sango’s Expedition Camp.

Your Sango Food & Hospitality Experience
As well as being the camp manager, Shelby is also an excellent cook and is responsible for your camp menu. Her exquisite menu offers a journey through Zimbabwean cuisine and beyond, with local recipes and traditional dishes reimagined with refined simplicity, using local produce wherever possible. In addition, her carefully curated wine list offers you a tour of South African wines to complement the experience. Meals at Sango Expedition Camp tend to be a ‘moving feast’ and are not always limited to the ‘breakfast, lunch and dinner’ of a normal safari itinerary. This does not mean that you will go hungry – far from it.

At Sango, we understand that a day in the bush whets the appetite, so it is not uncommon to have a snack breakfast on an early game drive followed by an early brunch, or a late bush breakfast followed by an early afternoon tea under a baobab tree.
